PINTS for the PEOPLE!
Current Brews on Tap
Brick House Blonde ……… 5.0% ABV – 18 IBU
She’s blonde and refreshing! She’s mighty mighty! Brewed with perfect proportions of Northwest hops and malts for a beer that makes an old man wish for younger days. This session ale lets it all hang out with easy drinkability and a light malt finish. …what a winning hand!
Seismic IPA ……… 6.2% ABV – 75 IBU
Brace yourself for the clean, bright bitterness and crisp finish of our dry-hopped and unfiltered NW IPA. Don’t fault us if the Columbus, Amarillo, Cascade and Simcoe hops shake your belief in the IPAs you have been enjoying up to now.
Rip Saw Red ……… 6.5% ABV – 60 IBU
Our local hops are right at home in this Northwest-Style Red Ale: woody, spicy, piney and citrusy. They also enjoy playing against the lush backdrop of a blend of pale, carapils, caramel and chocolate malts. Let ‘er rip!
Steel Bridge Stout ……… 5.2% ABV – 22 IBU
Rich and chewy, this robust stout is girdered together with Midnight Wheat, Black Prinz, Roasted Barley, Special B and Chocolate malts. You can tell: it’s jet black with a thick brown head, loaded with espresso, coffee and rich malt flavors. Bittered with Columbus hops and finished with spicy Willamettes, it all holds together nicely.
Northwoods Wild Rice Lager……..5.7% ABV – 17 IBU
Northwoods combines a Vienna malt base with a hefty portion of wild rice to create this unique lager. An extended cold-conditioning resulted in a crisp, clean beer with a nutty aroma and a touch of earthy flavor. Inspired by the Northwoods, brewed here in the Northwest.
Gose………4.8% ABV – 15 IBU
A rare beer with a history of over 1000 years. Originating in Goslar, Germany, this beer style marries a number of brewing traditions: Belgian, Bavarian and Berlin. It starts with a splash of fresh coriander in the beer, then is fermented with a Bavarian Weizenbier yeast strain, creating a lovely banana-fruity note, then finishes with a tart twang similar in nature to the sour beers produced in Berlin
Märzen Mädness………5.5% ABV – 24 IBU
The Märzen traditionally signified the end of the brewing season before the dawn of refrigeration (in the month of March–März in German). They were brewed with enough alcohol to survive the warm summer months, but left refreshing enough not to overwhelm the palate on a hot day. In celebration of the upcoming insanity we are brewing an orange-brown colored Märzen (should look like the hue of a basketball, actually) to coincide with college basketball’s greatest event. German malts, hops, and yeast…what did you expect?
FreeRyeder Rye Kolsch………5.5% ABV – 21 IBU
Pouring a rich copper color, this Kolsch-style ale was brewed with two types of malted rye. All German malts and our house Kolsch yeast combine to create a bready, slightly fruity beer that is light on the palate with a dry, spicy finish..
Pints Single Hop Pale Series………5.4% ABV – 45 IBU
Each hop varietal is special. In this series, the malts, malt schedule, yeast strain and pitching rates are all constants. We add the same pounds of each hop varietal in the whirlpool, adjusting the IBU content by increasing or decreasing the kettle addition. The result highlights the aromatic and flavor components of the hop we are focusing on. Ask your server for the current selection.
Stone Walker Wee Heavy………8.9% ABV – 30 IBU
Our Wee Heavy helps take the edge off this nasty Portland Winter. UK malts, hops and yeast put together this joy to behold. With a grain bill big enough to stress out our mash tun, the malts play a big role, one resulting in flavors and aromas of caramel, rich toffee, hints of plum and leather. The Admiral hops bring a light orange-citrus undertone to keep the body rich, but spirited. There’s no need to walk through the stones to the Highlands of the 18th Century to try anything better!
